The inaugural Emergency Service Awards took place at Arsenal’s Emirates Stadium earlier this month with Ferno sponsoring one of the top awards.

The awards recognised outstanding achievement amongst organisations and individual projects across the Fire, Police and Ambulance sectors where team work resulted in delivering effective and innovative public services.

Ferno was delighted to sponsor the Ambulance Technology Award which was won by West Midlands Ambulance Service NHS Trust for its innovative Business Intelligence System. Commendations were also presented to the Yorkshire Ambulance Trust for its ground-breaking Methanol Fuel Cell Trials and the East Midlands Ambulance Service for its new ambulance technology advancements.

The awards were presented by Ferno’s Sales & Marketing Director Simon Shepherd and Darren Sharman, Ferno’s Ambulance South Business Development Manager.

Throughout the evening, 19 awards were presented across the emergency services with BBC news anchor Nicholas Owen acting as compère for the event. Other categories included: Outstanding Service, Control Room Award, Transport & Logistics, Police Service of the Year, Fire Service of the Year, Community Engagement, among many others.
