Helping the Yorkshire Air Ambulance
posted 7th October 2010
Ferno (UK) Ltd will be 40 years old in June 2011. In recognition of this significant anniversary, Ferno has selected the Yorkshire Air Ambulance as its chosen charity for this special year. Fundraising will begin in October 2010 with a number of events and activities planned throughout the year, with all proceeds donated to the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.
The Yorkshire Air Ambulance is an independent charity providing a life-saving, rapid response emergency service to five million people across Yorkshire, flying seven days a week, 365 days a year.
To continue providing this life-saving service the charity needs to raise £7,200 per day to keep both of Yorkshire’s air ambulances maintained and in the air. The swift medical interventions provided by air ambulance crews have a major impact on a patient’s chance of survival and subsequent quality of life.
Ferno employees have already started their support with the “bag it up” campaign, donating all of their old clothing etc.
