Ferno is planning to make a huge impact at Ambulex 2011

Ferno is planning to make a huge impact at Ambulex 2011 with the unveiling several new products this year. As a regular key attraction at the show, Ferno is also celebrating its 40th anniversary and wanted to make it a double celebration along with its new innovations on the stand. On hand to explain and demonstrate the new products will be industry experts Darren Sharman and Bernard Murphy. They will be joined on Stand 69 by Ferno UK MD Jon Ellis. “We have a lot to celebrate this year and Ambulex in its new venue is the perfect showcase for our products,” says Jon Ellis. “We have a new custom built stand to unveil which we hope will set the scene and we plan to use both the indoor and outdoor space to full effect. “We have invested heavily in our new exhibition stand to ensure our 40th Anniversary at Ambulex is one that all the delegates will remember; not only for the exciting range of new products we will be demonstrating but for the chance to enjoy themselves with some great interactive challenges. We look forward to seeing everyone there!” Ferno equipment available for demonstration includes: the Harrier XL,Compact 2 Carry Chair, EZ Glide 59t Evacuation Chair, Orthopaedic Scoop Stretcher, Longboard, and all the usual products that you would expect to find on a standard ambulance ... all of which are available from Ferno. To ensure it’s not just all work, work, work, Ferno (UK) has planned a special Scalextric challenge but with an “emergency” twist. Delegates will be given the change to race throughout the day to get the best lap time, but instead of racing the usual sporty porches or F1 cars, the stars of the track this time will hopefully be scalextric emergency response vehicles. Anyone taking part will be asked to make a voluntary donation to the Yorkshire Air Ambulance, Ferno’s chosen charity for its anniversary year. Anyone can register to have a time trial and they won’t even have to hang around waiting as they just simply need to leave their business card and the Ferno team will text them when their turn is coming up. The eventual winner over the course of Ambulex will get a voucher from Treatme.com to enjoy a racing experience of a lifetime. Fasten your seat belts as the winner will “enjoy” high speed passenger ride with a professional instructor in a Lotus Elise S2! To make this event as interactive as possible, Ferno has also teamed up with OxSTaR (formerly OxSim) is the University of Oxford’s Simulation, Teaching & Research Centre. Ferno is supporting and supplying a range of equipment for The Ambulance Crew Challenge Trophy. This competition offers ambulance crews to chance to demonstrate their skills at the scene of a road traffic accident. The teams will be expected to interact with and treat OxSTaR’s wireless patient mannequin simulators at the site of an accident. The scenario will take place on the OxSTaR stand and will be fully weather-proof. Competition entrants must bring their own personal protective equipment but all other medical equipment will be provided.
