Margaret Merkle appointed Finance Director

Bradford-based emergency equipment specialists, Ferno (UK) has appointed Margaret Merkle as Finance Director. Margaret originally joined Ferno (UK) in August 2003 as Financial Controller and successfully worked her way up to this full directorship following promotions to Internal Auditor, Finance Manager and latterly Associate Director. With two postgraduate degrees in Management Accounting and Taxation as well as a degree in Economics, Margaret brings a wealth of experience to her new board room position. She now has full responsibility for the Company’s P&L and management accounts, all budgets and banking, including cash flow reporting and financial matters to the international Ferno Group. Jon Ellis, Ferno UK’s Managing Director, added: “We always look to develop talented staff within the business and Margaret’s rise to full Director in just seven years is testament to both her financial and management skills.
